1. Abstract
Uchl1 was found to be involved in spermatocyte apoptosis. The aim of the present study was to test whether Uchl1 and its associated proteins Jab1 and p27(kip1) were involved in spermatogenic ... PMID: [25331998]

2. Abstract
Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase 1 (UCH-L1) can be detected in mouse testicular germ cells, mainly spermatogonia and somatic Sertoli cells, but its physiological role is unknown. We show that transgenic (Tg) mice ... PMID: [16177983]

3. Abstract
The ubiquitin pathway functions in the process of protein turnover in eukaryotic cells. This pathway comprises the enzymes that ubiquitinate/deubiquitinate target proteins and the proteasome that degrades ubiquitin-conjugated proteins. Ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolases ... PMID: [15084487]

4. Abstract
Ubiquitination is required throughout all developmental stages of mammalian spermatogenesis. Ubiquitin C-terminal hydrolase (UCH) L1 is thought to associate with monoubiquitin to control ubiquitin levels. Previously, we found that UCHL1-deficient testes ... PMID: [15744022]

5. Abstract
The gracile axonal dystrophy (gad) mice are known to have a deletion within the gene encoding ubiquitin carboxy-terminal hydrolase-1 (Uch-L1) and show hereditary sensory deterioration and motor paresis. Expression of Uch-L1 is ... PMID: [12638230]

Ubiquitin carboxyl-terminal hydrolase L1 (Uchl1) have abundant distribution in the brain, Uchl1 is high-level expressed specifically in gonads. Uchl1 can affect the normal spermatogenesis by modulating spermatogenetic cell apoptosis during prepubertal development. The accumulation of Uchl1 protein is involved in the heat-stress-induced spermatocyte apoptosis through a new pathway related with Jab1 and p27kip1 but not the formation of multinucleated giant cells
